This makes me happy

Watching kids, my own, and some drop-ins from the neighbourhood, playing on our ice rink. It's finally cold enough. And goodness knows Dad has put a LOT of energy into making this backyard rink, which has spent most of the winter in a mostly liquid state. The best part, of course, was that once four pairs of skates were tied, I could watch the scene inside by the comfort of my wood stove.  With coffee. This makes me very happy.

(NB: these thoughts and photos occurred this past week-end. The following day brought, alas, more rain...)
