The waters have receded

...and so has my frustration after our flood yesterday. In fact, I find myself feeling grateful that it wasn't worse and that the weather was balmy enough so I could toss our belongings outside to dry out. And, more importantly, I am spurred on to toss out what I don't use anymore. Today's task: clean out the kammer (that's German for cellar, a term that my mother-in-law has now cemented in my head. Although I'm also fond of the Italian word: "cantina".)

Anyway, time to clear out some crap! Let the purging begin!
PS. I've decided to NOT consult my dear husband in this task. He won't notice anything missing, and he'll be glad to see the floor again, don't you think baby?
